Netflix recently announced that the latest update for the second stage of the classic anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run" will adopt a weekly broadcast format starting September 25, 2026, consisting of 11 episodes.
The new arc's story will continue to revolve around Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, as the duo faces the 750-mile desert challenge known as the "Devil's Palm." The competition's intensity will also rise with the introduction of new characters. The first stage concluded with Gyro's victory, but the anomalous phenomena appearing in the first episode remain to be explained later.
The series initially debuted in March of that year with a single 47-minute special episode, after which there was no clear schedule for subsequent releases, causing dissatisfaction among some viewers who had waited for years. Information regarding the second and third stages was later revealed at Anime Expo.
The weekly release schedule for the new arc, its 11-episode run, and its span across two stages of the race are currently the most noteworthy details; specific content for each episode should still be based on the actual version released on Netflix.
