Cozy Lives (a team under Free Lives focused on cozy games; Free Lives previously developed Anger Foot and Terra Nil) has officially launched the highly anticipated crafting simulation game, The Wandering Tailor. The game already has over 400,000 wishlists and is now available on Steam for PC and Mac, along with a brand-new launch trailer!

The Wandering Tailor is an immersive tailoring simulation game inspired by real-life garment production processes!
In the game, you have full control over every step of making a dress, from start to finish. Choose your favorite fabrics, arrange and cut patterns, sew the garments, and feed the fabric into the sewing machine to stitch them together piece by piece. You can also hand-sew buttons, bows, and other decorations, and mix and match various accessories to meet the needs of the town's residents—or intentionally "prank" them!
About the Game
The Wandering Tailor is a heartwarming and soothing simulation game where players have full control over every aspect of garment creation.
Choose fabrics, arrange and cut patterns, sew the garments, and use the sewing machine to complete the stitching. You can also hand-add buttons, bows, and various accessories.
The town is home to a diverse array of customers, and special events are held throughout the year. You can tailor clothes to meet customer requests and earn their approval, or display your original designs in the shop window to sell ready-made garments directly.

About the Team and Development Journey
The Wandering Tailor began as a passion project by Jonathan Hau-Yoon (who worked on Fortnite and Terra Nil) and Sabrina Becker. Sabrina is an artist and a creator with a deep love for garment making and a strong interest in fashion history.
Sabrina originally aimed to become a professional fashion designer, but due to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (a connective tissue disorder), she had to temporarily put that dream on hold.
Jonathan hoped to use their shared love of games to help Sabrina return to her passion for clothing creation, so they collaborated to create the initial concept prototype for The Wandering Tailor.
Initially, The Wandering Tailor was just a small amateur project. However, even before a playable prototype existed, it quickly gained popularity online. Seeing its potential, Jonathan pitched the project to his employer, the South African indie game studio Free Lives.
However, gaining approval for this project within the studio wasn't easy at first—Evan Greenwood, head of Free Lives, had built the studio's brand primarily around titles filled with violent elements and dark humor, such as Broforce, GORN, and Anger Foot.
But Jonathan didn't give up. He collaborated with developer Ruan Rothmann (Broforce, GORN) and Sara Laubscher (Terra Nil) to create a playable prototype in just three weeks, with music by Meydän, Terra Nil's music partner.
This prototype quickly garnered significant attention online, surpassing 100,000 downloads and inspiring countless players to share their own custom clothing creations.
Faced with overwhelmingly positive player feedback, the studio ultimately decided to officially greenlight the project and establish a new game brand: Cozy Lives!
Today, The Wandering Tailor's Steam version is developed by a dedicated team within Free Lives, with music by Meydän and script by Kerstin Hall.
