Devolver Digital has confirmed that Fungus Punk will launch on PS5 on October 20, 2026, and will be added to the PS Plus Extra game library on the same day. This makes it the first title confirmed for the October 2026 PS Plus Extra lineup.
Sony previously announced during its September State of Play livestream that Fungus Punk would be added to the PS Plus Extra tier on its launch day, though no specific date was revealed at the time. With the publisher now confirming the release window, PS5 players will be able to play the game via the subscription service starting October 20.
Developed by Pigeons at Play, Fungus Punk has already been available in Early Access on PC. October 20 marks not only the game's console debut but also its transition to the full 1.0 release.
This is a mission-based loot shooter supporting up to four players. Players form a squad of robots hired by SAXON Corporation to carry out extermination missions and investigate the fungal catastrophe sweeping across the planet.
The PS Plus Extra lineup for October 2026 will also include other PS5 and PS4 titles, with the full list scheduled to be announced on October 14. Fungus Punk will launch and be added to the game library six days after the lineup reveal.
