The Flights V mod adds a passenger flight system to Grand Theft Auto V. Players can go to the airport terminal to buy tickets and travel as passengers between several designated locations on the map.
In Grand Theft Auto V, Los Santos and the northern regions are far apart, so crossing the map by car, motorcycle, or on foot takes considerable time. Flights V offers an alternative mode of transportation, turning airports—originally mostly scenic elements—into functional passenger hubs.
Currently available destinations include Los Santos International Airport, Sandy Shores Airfield, McKenzie Field, and Paleto Bay International Airport. Players can purchase tickets at the terminal counter and select the aircraft for their trip.
The mod also features a fairly complete boarding sequence. The terminal includes a waiting area with NPCs awaiting departure. Players need to proceed from the waiting area to the aircraft, where a heavy-looking door separates the boarding corridor from the cabin.
However, this boarding process is not always stable at present. During actual testing, players sometimes encounter infinite loading screens when attempting to board, preventing the flight from starting properly.
Aside from boarding issues, Flights V already supports counter ticket purchases, aircraft selection, boarding, and traveling to designated airports on the map. Its main purpose is to allow players to quickly travel between Los Santos and the northern regions without having to pilot the aircraft themselves.
