The dark Three Kingdoms action RPG "Wo Long 2: Phoenix Fire Across the Sky" will be released on March 4, 2027, launching day-one on Xbox Game Pass. The Standard Edition on Steam China is priced at 298 CNY, while the Deluxe Edition is 418 CNY and includes the Season Pass. The Season Pass contains two subsequent DLC packs: the first DLC will be released by August 31, 2027, and the second by October 31, 2027. These DLCs will add new storylines, enemy yokai bosses, and equipment. Purchasing the Season Pass also grants immediate access to the bonus armor set, the Fuxi Medium Armor Set.
Recently, the official team released the story introduction for "Wo Long 2": In 208 AD in China, the village where the protagonist and his friend Pang Tong reside is attacked by Cao Cao's forces. This conflict over Jingzhou plunges the world into war once again, with demons running rampant. To resist Cao Cao's army, the protagonist uses their martial prowess to aid Liu Bei's advance, eventually joining forces with Sun Quan of Jiangdong. Meanwhile, Pang Tong collaborates with the strategists under Sun and Liu to plan the defense against Cao Cao at Red Cliffs. Two young talents, endowed with wisdom and courage, will spread their wings at the time of the decisive battle!
The limited-time demo for "Wo Long 2" is now available for download, with the trial period ending on September 30. The demo features the complete open battlefield of Changban Slope and supports up to three-player online co-op. Upon completing the demo, players can unlock the exclusive bonus "Fengchu Helmet" in the full version. The demo requires a constant internet connection, and save data can be carried over to the full version under the same account. Following the demo's release, many players reported significant optimization issues on PC, with noticeable frame drops even on high-end graphics cards during large-scale battles, as well as compatibility bugs with frame generation features. Koei Tecmo has stated that it has collected all player feedback and will focus on major optimizations for performance and bug fixes in the full release.
