Players who launched the game during specific timeframes are advised to check their computer security.
According to the developer's current statement, this malicious mod does not steal players' files, passwords, or other account information. However, the developer also stated that they cannot yet fully determine the sequence of events or exactly what actions the program performed, only confirming that the current situation is not optimistic.
The developer warns that if players installed mods and launched Human Playground between 6 PM and 8 PM on September 21, they should scan their computers with antivirus software and change passwords for important accounts.
Until the security issue is resolved, the developer also recommends deleting all mods from the game folder and refraining from launching Human Playground for now. Players should wait until the developer confirms via Steam that the Workshop is safe again before running the game.
