The Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion "Mega Evolution: Delta Dominion" has officially revealed a new Sprigatito Illustration Rare card. The English version of this card will be released with the expansion on November 6.
This card was illustrated by Jiro Sasumo and first appeared in the Japanese "Starter Set ex Sprigatito & Meowscarada ex," released in September. "Mega Evolution: Delta Dominion" will mark its debut in English-language booster packs.
The new expansion is primarily based on the Japanese set "Storming Emerald," with Mega Rayquaza taking center stage. This Pokémon makes its return to the Pokémon Trading Card Game through this release.
Jiro Sasumo has illustrated over 40 cards for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, including Illustration Rare cards of Ralts, Kirlia, and Gardevoir from the "Scarlet & Violet" series, as well as the 2023 Pokémon World Championships promo cards featuring Pikachu and Charizard.
Jiro Sasumo describes himself as an "office worker who loves to draw" and previously placed second in the Pokémon Card Game Illustration Grand Prix. This competition offers illustrators outside of Creatures Inc. the chance to design Pokémon cards, with winning entries produced as physical cards.
Before the official release of "Mega Evolution: Delta Dominion," players can get an early taste of the expansion through Play! Pokémon Pre-Release events. These events will be held at participating independent retailers starting October 24, 2026.
