Developer Rinnegatamante has showcased the progress of an unofficial PS Vita port of the classic Resident Evil 4. The game is currently playable, but the frame rate remains unstable, dropping as low as approximately 20 FPS.
Less than a month after the release of the decompiled version of Resident Evil 4, significant progress has already been made on the port. Rinnegatamante recently released a short teaser demonstrating the optimizations and current performance of this version.
Rinnegatamante previously contributed to PS Vita ports of games such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Bully. Following the release of an improved version of Resident Evil: Gaiden, he has now revealed the progress of this Resident Evil 4 porting project.
The project has not yet reached a state of stable and smooth performance and requires further optimization. While the player community has begun discussing when a complete version might be released, no specific timeline has been provided in the current updates.
