The Forza series has always allowed players to create decals and vehicle designs, sharing them with others. This led to the popularity of itasha—vehicles decorated with anime and game characters—in previous entries. With Japan as its setting, Forza Horizon 6 has likewise seen players creating and sharing various itasha designs.
Regarding player-created content, the updated Code of Conduct states that reported items enter a single review queue regardless of how many times they are reported, where human moderators make the final judgment. The scope of moderation includes decals, vehicle designs, and other content.
According to official statements, depicting anime or game characters is not inherently a violation, but expressions that emphasize breasts or buttocks, sexually suggestive facial expressions, and excessive display of underwear or bare skin are prohibited. Violations are categorized into five types, including "Extreme Violations," "Cheating and Modifications," and "Inappropriate Player-Created Content."
The official FAQ also lists patterns and symbols prohibited in player-created content, including the Nazi swastika, the Confederate flag, SS runes, the Black Sun, the Arrow Cross, and the Rising Sun Flag; the use of the Iron Cross is evaluated based on context.
Discussions on Reddit have focused on the boundaries of sexual expression, the potential for normal content to be misjudged, malicious mass reporting, and the accuracy of moderation. Some players also believe that restricting overly sexualized content in all-ages games is reasonable.
Forza Horizon 6 is now available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S, and is supported on Game Pass via the Microsoft Store. A PS5 version is planned for release in the second half of 2026.
