Control: Resonance is now available on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will be released on October 15, 2026.

Control: Resonance has received high praise from critics, with particular acclaim for its unique world-building, action gameplay, and emotionally charged narrative.

● "A Mind-Bending Action Masterpiece" — VICE, 10/10

● "Unforgettably unique" — GameSpot, 9/10

● "This game is fucking incredible" — Kinda Funny, 9.5/10

● "One of the best and most emotionally impactful action games of 2026, and a strong contender for Game of the Year." — PC Mag, 5/5

● "The world of Resonance is dreamlike and surreal, wrapping around you in layers." — The New York Times

Control: Resonance is developed and published by Remedy Entertainment. As part of a strategic partnership with Remedy Entertainment, Annapurna Pictures participated in co-financing and co-production of this title.

Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of Control: Resonance, stated:

"Control: Resonance is the result of nearly seven years of effort and collaboration from our entire team. We've expanded the supernatural action RPG series into a larger, ever-shifting world where players can experience choice, power, and consequence. New players don't need to know the previous games to jump into this sequel. We wanted it to be easy to pick up but hard to put down. For returning fans, we've scaled up the game to unprecedented levels, upgrading combat, exploration, and storytelling across the board to create a grander, more memorable experience. It's ambitious, a little crazy, and hopefully thought-provoking. It was never an easy game to make—but 'easy' was never our goal! Now that Control: Resonance is officially out, we can't wait to see both new and old players dive in."

Watch the official launch trailer for Control: Resonance:

Finnish cello metal legends Apocalyptica have created a brand new song, "Upperhand," for Control: Resonance. The track plays during the game's opening credits, guiding players on Dylan Faden's journey into the unknown.

Eicca Toppinen, founder of Apocalyptica, stated:

"The initial version of 'Upperhand' was composed as music for the game's opening sequence. It reflects the protagonist's unease as they step into the unknown. I wanted to expand it into a full song with lyrics, and we were fortunate to invite Katrine from Kalandra, whose unique voice brought the song exactly where it needed to go. The track blends many of Apocalyptica's distinctive musical qualities, and figuring out how to truly serve the world of Control: Resonance was a challenging yet exciting and rewarding journey. I sincerely hope that fans of both Remedy and Apocalyptica feel its specialness just as we do."
