To celebrate the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, CDPR has once again updated Cyberpunk 2077.
Following the 2.5 update, player interest in the game appears to have reached unprecedented heights. On Steam, the concurrent player count has hit a three-year high.

The Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 update and the premiere of Edgerunners Season 2 have made the game popular again
As of today, the game's concurrent player count has reached its highest level since then. The 2.5 update itself brought plenty of new content, going beyond just fan service to celebrate the launch of Edgerunners Season 2.
The highly requested dual-wielding feature is now live in Cyberpunk 2077, and CDPR even added a new mission serving as a prelude to the second season's story. All in all, the development team seems to have successfully revitalized player interest in the series.
To capitalize on the hype surrounding the latest anime season, CDPR slashed the price of Cyberpunk 2077 by 70% on Steam, making it an ideal time for new players to jump in. Similarly, the recent release of The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition has reignited interest in another major franchise from CDPR.
