Reports indicate that A24 is moving forward with a film adaptation of Elden Ring, with a production budget nearing $200 million and a planned release date of March 3, 2028. If accurate, this budget would make it the most expensive project in A24's history to date.

For comparison, A24's previous higher-budget projects include Mickey 17 at around $70 million and Civil War at approximately $50 million. The nearly $200 million budget for the Elden Ring film signifies a significant leap in the scale of the project.

The report also states that Alex Garland, the writer and director of Civil War, will handle both writing and directing duties for the film. The currently listed cast includes Kit Connor, Tom Burke, Rose Liu, and Nick Offerman, with principal photography expected to last approximately 100 days.

Elden Ring was released in February 2022, with George R. R. Martin contributing to the game's world-building. The title launched on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, accumulating over 36 million copies sold. Currently, details regarding the budget, release schedule, creative team, and filming arrangements are based on media reports, as A24 has not yet fully disclosed all production specifics.
