Sony accidentally leaked the 2.1 update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl ahead of schedule, with a PlayStation Asia post listing several changes included in this free patch. Although the update has not been officially announced, GSC Game World's community manager confirmed that the patch will be available on all platforms next week.
A PlayStation Asia trailer titled this update "Zone Watch 2.1." The update includes increased perception ranges for A-Life NPCs, related combat and ballistics adjustments, and a new feature allowing fast travel while following squad leaders, along with bug fixes and other optimizations.
The post was subsequently shared on Reddit, sparking discussions among players about the upcoming changes. In the pinned comment of that discussion thread, GSC Game World community manager Kenny_PropheT confirmed the premature leak: "Hey folks, this was an early reveal. The update is still being polished, but it's expected to launch on all platforms next week."
This response confirms the approximate release window, although the developers have not yet published a complete patch note detailing all changes.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a first-person survival shooter developed by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World.
