Recent reports indicate that Silent Hill 1 Remake, developed by Bloober Team, is targeting a 2027 release window, with Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew joining the cast. Konami and Bloober Team had previously confirmed that a remake of the 1999 original was in development, but no official release window has been announced yet.
Casting for the project used "Project Noise" as its codename, while the remake itself has long been rumored to carry the internal codename "Project G." It is currently unconfirmed which specific roles the two actors will portray, and the new actor playing protagonist Harry Mason has not been revealed.
Key female characters from the original include police officer Cybil Bennett, nurse Lisa Garland, and Dahlia Gillespie, but there is currently no evidence linking either actor to any of these roles.
Gabrielle Fritz brings experience in motion capture and performances for major titles, having worked on Battlefield 2042, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Moonfall; Jade Matthew has participated in the Korean online game Dragon Nest.
Reports also state that active development on Silent Hill 1 Remake dates back to 2022. The 2027 target aligns with Konami's strategy to maintain annual momentum for the Silent Hill series.
