Sony has recently been revealing characters and brief personality profiles for Until Dawn 2, with six members of the Dead True team having appeared so far. The game is being developed by Sony's first-party studio Firesprite and is currently scheduled to launch on PS5 on January 28, 2027.
The members revealed so far include host Owen, co-host Mina, director Nate, location scout Josie, scare technician Cameron, and intern Izzy. Owen is perfectionistic and ambitious but lacks patience; Mina is compassionate and fascinated by the unknown; while Nate is used to controlling the shoot.
Josie has a keen eye and an adventurous spirit, Cameron handles the scare technology for the team's show, and Izzy holds firm personal beliefs. The platform appears to be releasing profiles at a pace of one person per day, so the current six may not yet be the full cast.
Dead True originally gained a following by creating fake supernatural content on social media, before signing with a major TV network and traveling to an abandoned tropical island to film a professionally funded show. But upon arriving at the island, the horrors they face may no longer be staged.
