Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Adds 6v6 Shipment on October 27

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will release its first post-launch content on October 27, 2026, bringing back the series' classic small-scale multiplayer map "Shipment" as a 6v6 core mode map.

The new version of "Shipment" is set in a Russian port, surrounded by waterways and urban concrete apartment buildings. The map retains its basic layout and iconic look while incorporating this installment's graphical and gameplay improvements, with its overall design closely resembling the 2007 version.

"Shipment" is compact with frequent firefights, and enemies can quickly appear from multiple directions. This design suits quick matches, weapon leveling, or camouflage challenges, but the cramped environment can lead to chaotic respawns and intense encounters.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches with 12 core 6v6 maps, 3 Ground War maps supporting 32v32 battles, and 4 Gunfight maps for 2v2 matches. The modular "Kill Block" arenas support both 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight modes, offering over 500 possible layout combinations, with some inspired by classic locations like "Crash," "Highrise," and "Firing Range." This return provides players who prefer short-range, fast-paced engagements with an alternative to the larger launch maps.
