The Fun Pimps released the stable version 3.4.0 of 7 Days to Die on October 27, adding search bars and category filters to backpacks and containers. The developers also confirmed that joining multiplayer games with shared quests started in versions prior to 3.4.0 may cause crashes.
Players can now type item names or filter by category to narrow down their search. Version 3.3.0 expanded the maximum backpack capacity to 96 slots, and this new search and filter feature further eases the burden of managing large inventories. If a drone gets stuck or goes missing, players can also ask traders to retrieve it.
This update also adjusts certain skill books, steroids, and chicken nuggets to accommodate the new backpack capacity. Fixes include issues such as being unable to sell items in the tenth hotbar slot, the macOS version failing to launch with Easy Anti-Cheat enabled, drones circling the player, and errors occurring when transferring certain items.
To temporarily avoid crashes caused by old shared quests, disable auto-party or auto-share quests before entering the game, then delete any ongoing old shared quests from the quest log after joining. Completed quests awaiting delivery do not need to be deleted.
Other known issues include locked hotbar slots resetting after closing the inventory, some skill effects not working, and abnormal language settings on Mac. The Steam version is now discounted from 4,900 yen to 2,695 yen (45% off), with the sale running until November 3.
