Los Angeles' Official "Pokémon Night" Faces Criticism as Attendees Report Only Two Theme Songs Played

The official Pokémon electronic music event, "Pokémon Night," recently took place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, featuring performances by Marshmello and Alison Wonderland. After the event, many attendees expressed disappointment, with one claiming that only two Pokémon-related songs were played during the roughly two-hour show.

One attendee stated that they paid over $300 for an early-bird general admission ticket, expecting a full "Pokémon × EDM" experience. Instead, the event felt more like a standard DJ set with Pokémon visuals added on screen by the visual team. Audience dissatisfaction mainly centered on the limited number of songs from the series and the lack of coherent creativity in some of the visuals.

Feedback from the scene indicated that Marshmello's performance did not include Pokémon music, relying mainly on his regular set accompanied by themed visuals. Some aspects received positive recognition, such as Mewtwo appearing to float above the audience, and the segment featuring Groudon and Kyogre battling with synchronized lighting and fireworks.

Alison Wonderland's performance was more clearly tied to the theme, as she performed the iconic theme song from the Pokémon anime and created a remix of the Lavender Town music. The London date for this event is scheduled for November 10, with venue tickets still available for £38.35.
