Warner Bros. has released a new set of character posters for the sci-fi film Dune: Part Three, using "Epic Finale" as the promotional tagline. Key characters played by actors such as Timothée Chalamet, Robert Pattinson, and Jason Momoa are the visual center of the new materials.
The film continues to be directed by Denis Villeneuve and will directly adapt Frank Herbert's novel Dune Messiah. The story is reportedly set nearly twenty years after the ending of the second film, which was released in 2024, with Paul Atreides now having become Emperor.
The core conflict of the new installment will also shift from seizing power to Paul's situation after taking office. He must face the consequences of the jihad sweeping across the galaxy while dealing with a massive conspiracy.
Dune: Part Three is positioned as the final work in Villeneuve's film series, with the poster's tagline "Epic Finale" reflecting this positioning, though it does not mean that development of the entire Dune intellectual property will cease. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on December 18, and the content revealed this time focuses mainly on character visuals and promotional positioning, without bringing a new trailer or complete plot synopsis.
