Retro shooter 'Invasion' to be delisted from Xbox Store on October 30!

The retro shooter Invaders will be removed from the Xbox Store on October 30, 2026. At that time, users on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X will no longer be able to purchase it, though players who have already bought and saved the game in their library will still be able to access it.

In the announcement, the developers stated that the decision to delist was made jointly by the relevant teams and the developers, thanking players for their support over the years without specifying the exact reason. Invaders, released by Brutalsoft and Phoenix Reborn Games in 2023, features no obvious online elements or licensed content, leaving the reasons for its removal from stores roughly three years after launch unclear.

Invaders was previously removed from the PlayStation platform this June. Since the Xbox version has no physical release, this delisting will further limit access to the game. Currently priced at $5 on the Xbox Store, no discounts related to the delisting have been observed.

In terms of gameplay, Invaders draws inspiration from classic titles like Space Invaders, Galaxian, and Missile Command, focusing on encouraging players to repeatedly challenge themselves for higher scores rather than following a linear progression.
