Devolver Digital has announced that the survival horror RPG Look Outward will launch on PS5 on October 30. The game was released on PC last year, and this announcement confirms the release date for the PS5 version.
Look Outward combines the resource management of survival horror games with traditional turn-based RPG combat. Its resource allocation has been compared to Resident Evil, while its battle structure is similar to Phantasy Star, all presented in a retro body horror visual style.
The game currently holds a Metacritic media score of 83. Push Square authors consider it a noteworthy title in next week's PS5 lineup, though judgments such as "must-play" reflect the authors' personal opinions.
According to the publisher's press release, Look Outward offers an estimated playtime of 10 to 15 hours. The PS5 version will launch just before Halloween. Pricing, exclusive content, feature differences from the PC version, and plans for other console platforms have not yet been announced.
