Report: GTA 6 PS5 Version Requires 210GB Download, Pre-loading Starts November 12

Recent reports suggest that the standard PS5 version of GTA VI requires a 210GB download, with pre-loading starting on November 12 and the game unlocking at midnight on November 19. Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed this storage requirement yet, and day-one patches as well as future content may alter the final space needed.

The source, PlayStation Game Size, also listed a price of $79.99. Insider Gaming has verified the 210GB figure, but the information still comes from third-party accounts tracking PlayStation Store backend data, so it cannot yet be considered an official announcement from Rockstar Games.

The base PS5 has approximately 667GB of available space, meaning 210GB accounts for nearly one-third of it. For reference, the PlayStation Store page shows that GTA V requires a minimum of 148.2GB, and the sequel is reportedly over 60GB larger than its predecessor. Players who haven't expanded their SSD may need to uninstall several games in advance.

Current information only explicitly mentions the PS5 version; it remains unclear whether the XSX|S version will require the same amount of space. Pre-loading begins one week before the game unlocks, providing preparation time for users with slower download speeds or limited storage.
