Report: Elden Ring Movie Script at Least 180 Pages, Runtime May Approach 3 Hours

Reports suggest that the Elden Ring film, produced by A24, could have a runtime of nearly three hours. The screenplay, completed by director and writer Alex Garland, is said to be at least 180 pages long and includes visual reference materials.

消息称《艾尔登法环》电影剧本至少180页 片长或接近3小时

The plot remains under wraps. Kit Connor will play a leading role, facing off against massive monsters and dragons, with the production aiming to stay faithful to the original game. A24 has allowed potential international buyers to read the script, but only with studio staff present to minimize the risk of leaks.

The film's budget is reportedly around $175–200 million. If true, this would make it A24's most expensive project to date. Amazon MGM Studios is said to have secured paid streaming rights for certain international markets, in a deal potentially worth tens of millions of dollars, and discussions are underway to promote the project via Twitch.

The film is scheduled to be presented to potential distributors at the American Film Market, where the first footage may also be revealed. The cast also includes Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, Tom Burke, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, and Nick Offerman.

Additionally, reports state that filming wrapped in July, with a theatrical release date set for March 3, 2028.
