Registration is now open for Aeos Crown 2027, the final esports event for Pokémon UNITE, with a total prize pool of $1 million. The offline finals will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from March 20 to 21, 2027. Two days after the finals conclude, the game will cease operations on March 23.
The prize pool for this tournament is double that of previous Pokémon UNITE World Championships, making it the largest in the history of Pokémon esports. Online regional qualifiers will be held from December 2026 to February 2027, ultimately determining the 32 teams that will advance to the finals.
ZETA DIVISION, the 2026 Pokémon UNITE World Championship winners, have received a direct invitation. The remaining slots are allocated by region: Japan has four slots (including ZETA DIVISION); Taiwan & Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Malaysia & Singapore each have one slot; the APAC West and APAC East Last Chance Qualifiers each have one slot; North America has four slots; and Latin America North and South have three and two slots, respectively.
In addition to the prize money, the winning team will receive a physical crown befitting the tournament's name. After Pokémon UNITE ceases operations, players will still be able to log in to view previously purchased cosmetic items, but online services will officially end.
