HumaNature Studios launched the Early Access version of the life simulation game "Spirit Dance" on Steam on October 28.
The story takes place in a riverside village in Thailand. After losing her parents in an accident, 15-year-old Mai strives to rebuild her life in the village, where she meets Pim, a young ghost. Having lost most of her memories from when she was alive, Pim and Mai, despite their unfortunate pasts, decide to find a positive path forward together.
Players can help villagers improve their lives through mini-games such as delivering items and cooking Thai dishes. In addition to rural life simulation, the game integrates tasks centered around the two protagonists helping others together.
The game incorporates the Thai cultural concept of making merit for the deceased to ensure their journey is peaceful, translating it into gameplay and narrative elements. This cultural backdrop of mutual support between the living and the dead sets the title apart from typical rural life management games.
