SkyboundTOTK: Unofficial Native Port of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with FSR and Keyboard/Mouse Support

Developer NotRexed has publicly released the unofficial project SkyboundTOTK via GitHub, aiming to enable native Windows execution of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This project is not an official PC version released by Nintendo, and users must complete the build process themselves.

SkyboundTOTK currently provides FSR 1 and independent sharpening adjustments, along with an experimental frame interpolation feature. The latter generates additional frames to improve the smoothness of motion, but does not accelerate game logic. Artifacts may appear in dynamic scenes and interfaces, and input latency may increase.

The project also offers an experimental ultra-widescreen mode that allows adjustment of the field of view and HUD, though some configurations may result in image stretching. Input support includes keyboard, mouse, and compatible controllers, with options to set input sensitivity, mouse capture, and fullscreen or windowed display modes.

Graphics settings can be saved, and local graphics caching can shorten subsequent launch times. However, stuttering caused by loading new scenes and shader compilation cannot be completely eliminated.

Users need to prepare Windows 10 or Windows 11, along with a legally obtained and unpacked version 1.0.0 of the base game. The project does not provide game files, keys, or save data, and currently does not support other game versions. The build process may take a long time, and in addition to the space required for game files, at least 45GB of free space must be reserved.
