Centered around the underground facilities known as "Vaults" from the games Fallout Shelter and the Fallout universe, the show features contestants living together as vault dwellers and facing various challenges.
The challenges in the show correspond to the seven core S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes used in the game's character system: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. In addition to testing contestants' ability to complete tasks, the competition also evaluates loyalty, cooperation, and popularity among the residents.
Under the currently announced mechanics, contestants must strive to be the last one standing, with the ultimate winner receiving a substantial cash prize. The show does not directly adapt the game's plot, but instead transforms vault management, character attributes, and group dynamics into rules for a live-action competition.
