The unofficial Warhammer Online server, Return of Reckoning, is testing an upgraded game launcher. Participation in the test is voluntary, and the new version is not yet mandatory or the standard launch method for the server.
The new launcher features a redesigned homepage that centrally displays news links and videos, with content available in ten languages, making it easier for players from different regions to stay updated on server developments before entering the game.
Installation features have also been expanded. Players can customize game file locations, perform installations directly, and check for existing files, reducing inconvenience when redeploying the client.
The launcher also adds a plugin page, allowing players to browse, install, and update game plugins, consolidating management processes that were previously scattered across external websites and folders into a single entry point. Players willing to participate in the test can download the beta version via the link provided in the official news post; existing players do not need to switch from their current launch method for now, as features and stability may continue to be adjusted during the testing period.
