According to industry source Knight Edge Media, Marvel Studios is continuing preparations for the Ghost Rider cast, expanding the search beyond the lead role of Johnny Blaze to include other characters. No new actors have been confirmed yet.

Current reports confirm that Ryan Gosling will play Johnny Blaze, with the film scheduled for release in July 2028. No official information has been provided regarding new characters, potential cast members, or specific story details.

Nicolas Cage previously portrayed the character in the 2007 film Ghost Rider. After Gosling's casting was announced, some viewers questioned the age gap between him and the starting point of Johnny's story in the comics. Fans also expressed hope that the new version would more closely align with the serious, dark tone of the comics and discussed the possibility of a reunion between Johnny and Roxanne, but these remain audience expectations rather than confirmed plot details.

Shawn Levy will direct the film. Since he is also collaborating with Gosling on Star Wars: Starfighter, some viewers are concerned that creative choices for Ghost Rider may lean toward being conservative. At present, the only tangible progress reported is that casting for other characters has reportedly begun.
