The new thriller mystery film "The Disciples of the Rainy Night" recently filmed a large ensemble scene outside a funeral home in Hung Hom, with stars Wong Tze-wah and Lam Suet appearing on set. The realistic setup briefly led passersby to mistake it for an actual police deployment at a real funeral.
In the on-set photos, Wong Tze-wah appeared with messy curly hair and a worn brown leather jacket, sporting a disheveled and weathered look; Lam Suet wore a floral shirt with suspenders and suit trousers. The two were filmed alongside numerous extras dressed in black suits with serious expressions, creating a distinct gangster funeral atmosphere.
The production set up barricades, crowd control barriers, and camera and audio equipment on the street, along with actors in police uniforms and realistic police car props. The combination of the funeral home, crowds in black attire, and security arrangements drew attention from passersby. The scene appears to involve a "gangster memorial service," but the full plot of the film has not been disclosed.
"The Disciples of the Rainy Night" marks singer Jason Chau's directorial debut, with Wong Tze-wah starring as the lead and Lam Suet also appearing in the cast. Wong Tze-wah will take on a heavy thriller role, a departure from his previous work. The film's release date has not yet been announced.
