Pearl Abyss has confirmed the global unlock times for the Crimson Desert: Exploring the Unknown DLC across all platforms. Although the expansion is scheduled for release on October 29, due to time zone differences, most players will not be able to access it until October 30.
Western Europe will unlock late at night on October 29, while the US regions will unlock at 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT on October 29. Players should not simply interpret the store's listed release date as meaning it opens at midnight local time on October 29.
Crimson Desert: Exploring the Unknown will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Alongside the expansion's release, Crimson Desert will also roll out an update to add DLC support. All players must download this update, including those who are not purchasing the DLC and are still progressing through the base game content.
The expansion will add underwater exploration, new gameplay systems, and three new storylines centered around Cliff, Damian, and Onka. Pearl Abyss also confirmed that the previous weekly patch schedule for Crimson Desert will not resume after the launch of Crimson Desert: Exploring the Unknown.
