Insomniac has posted a job listing for a "Senior Hero Designer," with responsibilities including designing new playable characters. Based on this, ComicBook speculates that the role may be for the unannounced X-Men game, which could feature multiple playable heroes with different abilities.
This assessment also takes into account previously leaked plans for X-Men and the ending of Marvel's Wolverine. Marvel's Wolverine features only Wolverine as a playable character, so if the job posting does indeed correspond to the upcoming X-Men title, the character structure of the new project would see a significant change.
However, the job posting does not mention X-Men, and the responsibilities could also belong to Marvel's Spider-Man 3, which is rumored to be in development, or other projects. Therefore, the idea that X-Men will include multiple playable heroes remains a media inference based on the job information, not a confirmed design detail.
Combining this with previously leaked information, ComicBook also speculates that Insomniac may release Marvel's Spider-Man 3 first, while planning a new Ratchet & Clank title, with X-Men arriving at a later stage. This projected order and timeline have not yet been confirmed by any official announcement.
