Chucklefish has announced that Wytchwood will be released on January 28, 2027, for PC, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. The Steam version and Xbox Game Pass release plans have also been confirmed, with a new trailer confirming that the game is not exclusive to Nintendo platforms.
Wytchwood was first announced back in 2017 and has since experienced a long period of silence. The game was once scheduled for release in 2026, but after delays, it now has a specific release date.
This title features pixel art style, blending magic learning, life simulation, and social RPG elements. Players will enter a witch academy to learn spells and establish their daily lives in town, including making friends, working, and decorating their living spaces.
According to the official introduction, Wytchwood supports up to four players. Developer Chucklefish, known for publishing Stardew Valley and developing the Warsaw series, has further clarified the release window, platform availability, and gameplay positioning for Wytchwood with this announcement.
