"Macross Song Chronicle" Offline Edition confirmed to support Simplified and Traditional Chinese, with crowdfunding surpassing 150 million yen. AUGUST CEO Hiroshi Hirono stated that if localization isn't ready for the base game's release, Chinese language support will be added via a post-launch update.
The crowdfunding campaign launched on September 10, 2026, reaching its initial goal of 30 million yen within an hour, surpassing 100 million yen in about three days, and will conclude on October 31.
This title is a remake of the mobile game operated by DeNA from 2017 to 2022, released as a one-time purchase offline product. The game removes stamina limits and paid gacha mechanics, with interfaces and systems redesigned for keyboard and mouse controls. The base version is expected to include 50 popular songs, start players with over 1,000 four-star or higher cards, and provide each character with more than 20 outfits.
Current stretch goals include initiating development for home console versions, expanding to additional console platforms, and adding special video songs and more pages to the artbook. Upon reaching 180 million and 200 million yen in funding, additional costumes and new song DLCs not included in the original work will be added respectively.
"Macross Song Chronicle" Offline Edition is scheduled to launch on Steam, iOS, and Android in spring 2027.
