"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Completes Main Story Adaptation; Tite Kubo Reveals Character Designs for Two New Characters

The fourth part of Bleach's "Thousand-Year Blood War Arc" has completed the adaptation of the main storyline. Character designs have also been revealed for two new characters who made brief appearances in the final episode: they are Chad Yasutora's coach and opponent after he became a professional boxer.

The official X account operated by Tite Kubo and the staff released character designs and concept sketches for two characters around the time of the final episode's broadcast, with the artwork drawn by Kubo himself. These two are not major characters driving the main plot, but are directly related to Chad's new identity in the ending, supplementing his professional experience after the great war.

The "Thousand-Year Blood War Arc" is produced by Studio Pierrot and is divided into four parts. Tite Kubo was deeply involved in the anime production, providing original character designs and storyboards for the final arc; previously, he had also designed anime-original minor characters for this arc.

The series still has a one-shot created by Tite Kubo in 2021 for the manga's 20th anniversary that has not yet been animated. Its adaptation remains speculative, with no announced plans. Bleach is confirmed to participate in the Jump Festa 2027 stage event held on December 19–20, 2026, but there is currently no official confirmation on whether new anime projects or specific details will be announced at the event.
