Independent game developer The Game Bakers has officially launched the first DLC for the critically acclaimed survival climbing game, Climb: Conquest of The Lone Mountain. Released earlier this year, the game quickly won over players and media alike with its tense climbing simulation and profound narrative about overcoming impossible challenges. As the annual game awards season kicks off, Climb: Conquest of The Lone Mountain has also been nominated for several Game of the Year lists.

The first DLC, "Tracing Steps: Deep Waters," is now available for free on PC and PS5. Set before the events of the main story, this DLC follows Aava and Marco, who has joined the roster of playable characters, as they tackle a series of key climbing routes designed by the legendary climber Otto Mondo. These routes serve as trials for climbers preparing to challenge the God's Peak.
Three new climbing locations await players to conquer: an indoor climbing gym filled with highly challenging routes, towering sea stacks rising from the waves, and a treacherous island where the only safety net is the deep, bottomless sea below. Along the way, players will also explore rock faces once climbed by Otto Mondo, gradually uncovering the story behind this legendary figure.
Alongside the DLC release, Climb: Conquest of The Lone Mountain will receive a free update adding a free-roam mode to the God's Peak. In this mode, players can travel to any previously reached campsite and freely explore Everythinggj the mountain has to offer. Additionally, players can attempt climbing challenges controlling Marco.
