Pearl Abyss announced that "Red Desert: Enhanced Edition - Unknown Journey" officially launched globally on the 30th.
"Unknown Journey" is the first DLC for "Red Desert: Enhanced Edition," depicting the stories of Cliff, Onka, and Demian, who successfully defended Paville, as they forge their own paths and search for their life's purpose in the future.
The adventure extends from Paville to the vast oceans and underwater worlds. Players can sail the seas in ships they have built themselves to explore new islands, or dive into the deep sea to uncover hidden treasures, ruins, and unknown secrets.
Gameplay elements such as romance and management will also enrich life in Paville. Cliff, Onka, and Demian can build trust with the residents of Paville, further developing into romantic relationships and even getting married. Players can also lease and manage facilities within liberated strongholds to accumulate wealth.
The expanded home-building system not only supports interior decoration but also allows players to personally design the placement of architectural structures such as walls and windows, and even plan the overall layout of the house to create a unique residence. Additionally, after liberating strongholds, players can decorate the courtyards and interior spaces of three specific castles, transforming them into their own personal spaces.
"Red Desert: Enhanced Edition - Unknown Journey" is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, and the Epic Games Store.
