"Showa American Story" has completed all its content and entered the polishing phase. The main story takes approximately 25 hours to complete at the fastest, and the team currently has no plans to release a demo.
This game offered its first offline demo to domestic players during the Beijing Nuclear Fusion exhibition. Creative Director Luo Xiangyu stated that due to the game's large overall scale, the team is still refining narrative and exploration content and will continue to improve combat based on player feedback regarding controls and action performance.
The game features three difficulty levels: "Reiwa Giant Baby," "Heisei Otaku," and "Showa Man." "Heisei Otaku" is the standard experience recommended by the team; "Showa Man" significantly increases combat intensity, with damage taken increasing when character health is low; "Reiwa Giant Baby" provides automatic combos for players who want to progress easily. Completing the game on higher difficulties grants additional in-game items but does not affect trophy and achievement acquisition.
This game includes dozens of mini-games, some of which change as side quests progress. The multi-stage boss battles in the live demo represent the standard specification for chapter-ending battles, but the content in the official version will differ from the demo version.
If you skip all cutscenes and only progress through the main story, it will take about 25 hours to complete; if you watch all cutscenes carefully, the time required may double, while the time spent on side quests and collectibles varies from person to person. The team currently wants to concentrate manpower on polishing the official version, so there are no plans to release a demo for now.
