Creative Assembly Confirms Full Physical Edition of Alien: Isolation 2

Creative Assembly has confirmed that the survival horror sequel Alien: Isolation 2 will receive a full physical edition. The game continues to feature an Alien that relentlessly hunts the player, while expanding the action from familiar cramped indoor spaces to open environments.

Creative Assembly确认《异形:隔离2》将推出完整实体版

The team linked the decision to produce a physical edition to Ridley Scott’s 1979 film Alien, stating that staying true to its “tactile nature” is one of the project’s core principles. While the intention to release a physical version is confirmed, details such as the final format for each platform and staggered release plans have yet to be determined.

Creative Director Al Hope explained that indoor environments make trapped players eager to escape outside, but this brief respite soon turns into exposure and vulnerability, driving them back to seek cover. The Alien is also smarter, using extreme weather in open areas to hide and track its prey; leaving buildings does not mean safety.

Lead Game Designer James Green stated that about a quarter to a third of the current team worked on the first game, while new members bring fresh perspectives. Alien: Isolation 2 has no announced release date yet but is confirmed for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2, published by Sega.
