Wholesome Games and studio rabbiko have launched the PC version of the cozy decoration game "Bunny Island" on Steam. This version adopts a buy-to-play model with no ads or in-app purchases, and various features have been reworked for PC controls.
Players take on the role of an uninhabited island manager, creating resting spaces for rabbits by placing toys, plants, buildings, and furniture. Visiting rabbits can be petted, fed, and invited to play hide-and-seek. As relationships deepen, players can become friends with the rabbits, put hats on them, and receive special gifts. Meeting certain conditions may also lead to encounters with rare rabbits.
"Bunny Island" features over 35 rabbits with unique appearances and traits, along with more than 100 decorative items that can be freely placed. Some items react when touched by the rabbits. The game has no time limits and does not require players to quickly complete specific objectives.
The development team has added features to the Steam version, including keyboard shortcuts, a customizable interface, batch selection of multiple items, and the ability to collapse all placed items at once. It also offers V-Sync, resolution settings, and key bindings. The new version introduces a display mode similar to a screensaver for viewing your setup, and allows you to save the entire island as a screenshot.
The Steam version is priced at 980 yen, with a 15% discount available until November 13, bringing the price down to 833 yen. The mobile version of "Bunny Island" has surpassed 3 million downloads worldwide.
