Korean developer XLGames has confirmed that the open-world action MMORPG "ArcheAge Chronicles" will launch into Early Access on Steam at 7:00 AM on November 4. Set on an unknown new continent, the game features action combat, world exploration, character progression, and multiplayer cooperation.
Executive Producer Ham stated that participation in the Steam Next Fest demo exceeded the team's expectations, and the development team has already begun working on the first major post-Early Access update.
The December update will initially unlock female Warriors, gradually decoupling classes from specific genders. This change will later extend to other classes, with the development team aiming to allow free gender selection for all classes by the time version 1.0 officially launches. This adjustment addresses concentrated player feedback received since the online test in September.
The development team will also gradually add a third weapon type for each class, with Warriors being the first to receive the Roman gladius in December. Class gender selection and the third weapon type will not all be available on the day Early Access launches; instead, they will be rolled out in stages starting from December. Players planning to join at launch should consider this when choosing their class and long-term progression.
