The Nintendo Museum is launching a limited-time themed light show to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. The display will begin on November 5, 2026, lighting up from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on every open day, and is scheduled to run until May 5, 2027.
In addition to the light show, the Nintendo Museum has published the second volume of its official book, featuring a special section on The Legend of Zelda series. The museum also features a photo spot themed around the Master Sword.
These initiatives are part of Nintendo's celebrations for the series' 40th anniversary. Other concurrent projects include the Switch 2 version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, special edition consoles, and Pro Controllers.
The Nintendo Museum opened on October 2, 2024. This light display will only take place in the evenings on open days, lasting for three hours each day. Specific open days, admission arrangements, and on-site rules are subject to the information announced by the museum at that time.
