"Stellar Blade: Complete Edition" Launches on Switch 2 with Frame Interpolation Approaching 60 FPS

SHIFT UP released the complete edition of "Stellar Blade" on November 6, launching on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The complete edition includes the base game, all previous updates, DLC, and collaboration outfits. The Nintendo Switch 2 physical cartridge contains all content, requiring no additional downloads.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version delivers approximately 50 to 60 fps in both TV and handheld modes. This version runs the base graphics at a stable 30fps, then upscales to 1080p in TV mode and 720p in handheld mode, using frame generation to achieve visuals close to 60fps. Players can also disable the frame generation feature.

The game's control inputs are still based on a 30fps baseline, which could theoretically result in input lag and stability differences compared to native 60fps. The preview author noted that without direct comparison to other platforms, these issues are hardly noticeable during actual gameplay; the smooth, near-60fps visuals in handheld mode are particularly appealing.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version also supports touch controls, Joy-Con 2 motion sensing, and mouse input. It features gyroscope aiming, haptic feedback optimized for HD Rumble 2, and UI/text sizes that automatically adjust between TV and handheld modes. Most standard controls don't feel significantly different, but using the Joy-Con 2 to cast and reel in your line enhances the immersion of fishing. For players who have already completed all content on PS5 or PC, the added value is limited; it's more worthwhile for those playing for the first time or who prioritize portability.
