WOLCEN Studio has announced that the second closed Alpha test for Lords of the Fallen 2 will begin on November 26, 2026, at 17:00 Beijing Time and run until December 1 at 06:59. Players can sign up via the official website. Spots are limited, and access will be granted to selected applicants.
This round of testing incorporates feedback from the first test in August, adjusting combat pacing and controls, and improving the "Battle Mastery" skill enhancement system, the "Twilight Parade" character progression management, and the user interface. The test will also add the pistol ability "Havoc Orb" and the Shadow Form ability "Parasitic Shadow," while unlocking part of Chapter 1 of the campaign.
Lords of the Fallen 2 is the direct sequel to the 2020 release Lords of the Fallen, set ten years after the events of the previous game. The goddess Anasea is gravely wounded, causing rifts to appear between the mortal realm and the Void, allowing demon armies to invade. The game supports up to four-player co-op and continues the classless progression system, allowing players to gain skills from equipped weapons and transform into a "Shadow Form" using dark powers.
The development team has switched the game engine from CryEngine to Unreal Engine 5 to render large numbers of enemies and more spectacular spell effects. Lords of the Fallen 2 is scheduled to launch in Early Access on Steam in 2027, with the full release planned for PC and current-generation consoles. Japanese language support has not yet been announced.
