During its latest financial results briefing, Nintendo showcased the lineup of third-party titles for the Switch 2 over the coming year, reaffirming a release schedule extending from late 2026 into 2027. The list includes titles developed specifically for the platform as well as third-party multi-platform games planned for simultaneous release.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is scheduled for release on December 10, 2026. The 2027 lineup includes Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Eternum, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Ninja Gaiden 2, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, Nightreign, and Onyx.
Among these, Nightreign is an exclusive title developed by FromSoftware for the Switch 2, which has recently been delayed. Nintendo stated that in addition to games built specifically for the Switch 2, more third-party multi-platform titles will launch on the platform on their day of release.
Nintendo also used charts to illustrate the commercial impact of third-party software. Long-selling first-party and third-party titles jointly support overall software sales, with third-party publisher products accounting for a significant share. Purely digital titles not included in the charts also maintain a strong presence and help sustain player engagement with the hardware. The briefing highlighted the current state of third-party support for the Switch 2, citing already released titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III as examples.
