G-MODE and GAME START Release PS4 Version of 'Japanese Countryside Slow Life'

Publisher G-MODE Corporation and developer GAME START LLC have released the PlayStation 4 version of "Japanese Countryside Slow Life," adding a PS4 entry point for console players. According to official information, the PS4 version will be available globally on the PlayStation Store from November 5 to 6, 2026, and can be played on PS5 consoles via backward compatibility.

Confirmed details go beyond just the PS4 launch. Pricing varies by region: $19.99 on the US store, ¥2,750 (tax included) on the Japanese store, and HK$148 on the Hong Kong store. PlayStation Plus members can enjoy a 20% discount until November 19 or 20. Language support is extensive, with the PlayStation Store listing 15 interface languages including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, English, Korean, and Thai. The download size for the PS4 version is approximately 0.26GB.

This PS4 release is a port, and the official announcement did not mention any specific functional adjustments or graphical changes tailored for PS4 hardware. The game content remains consistent with other platform versions. Players take on the role of a protagonist who moves from the city to the countryside, starting by cleaning up an old vacant house and gradually experiencing slow-life activities such as garden tidying, crop planting, stream fishing, insect collecting, and DIY crafts. They also participate in traditional Japanese events like cherry blossom viewing, summer festivals, and New Year's shrine visits as the seasons change. The physical Switch version is scheduled for release on November 12, offering a different launch schedule compared to the PS4 digital version.

Players planning to purchase should still check their local PlayStation Store page to confirm regional availability, listed prices, Chinese language support, and compatibility information. Since pricing and discount deadlines vary by region, relying on the actual store page is the safest approach.
