Indie developer Marvin Wizard revealed the Steam store page for Vital Shell 2 on November 5, 2026, and will continue to handle development and publishing. The sequel abandons the survivor-like action structure of its predecessor, opting instead for third-person 3D mech action gameplay while retaining the low-poly visual style of the original.
The game continues to be set in the world of Vital Shell. Players will pilot mechs into levels to destroy enemy aircraft, with combat featuring ground engagements, aerial battles, close-quarters melee, and long-range shooting. The developers stated that this sequel is aimed at players who want the concepts from the previous game to evolve into a full-fledged mech action game.
Vital Shell 2 also plans to offer detailed part customization features. Players can adjust their equipment for different battlefields or build their mechs according to personal preferences. In addition to standard levels, the game will support 1v1 PvE and PvP arena battles, offering both split-screen and online multiplayer options.
Currently, Vital Shell 2 has been confirmed for release on PC via Steam, but details regarding the complete parts system, level scale, and specific release date have not yet been announced.
