Registration is now open for the new online tournament "Mega Evolution Battle" in Pokémon Champions. The competition features Double Battles, and only Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution can be included in participating teams.
According to Iberian Peninsula Time, registration will remain open until 02:59 on November 16. The official tournament runs from 03:00 on November 13 to 02:59 on November 16, meaning there is some overlap between the registration and competition periods. Players preparing to compete should mind the time difference and refer to the times displayed in-game and on the official event page.
The rules for this tournament focus on the Mega Evolution mechanic. Unlike standard open-format Double Battles, eligible Pokémon are restricted by specific ability requirements, and team composition and battle strategies will revolve around these qualifying participants.
Pokémon Champions has launched for free on the Nintendo Switch platform, with a mobile version to follow later. Previously announced details include the addition of new Pokémon in future updates and compatibility with Pokémon HOME.
