Fast Travel Games officially released PAYDAY: Chain Breaker on November 6, now available on PC and Meta Quest platforms. This is the first title in the PAYDAY series designed specifically for VR, with multiplayer supporting up to four players in cooperative play.
Players must physically move their bodies to engage in gunfights, operate environmental mechanisms, and carry loot. In addition to various weapons, the game provides equipment such as grappling hooks and sentry turrets, transforming the series' traditional role-based heist gameplay into an experience that emphasizes physical interaction.
The game features skill trees such as "Mastermind," "Ghost," "Technician," and "Enforcer." Players can combine different abilities to devise heist strategies and define their roles. In cooperative mode, up to four members can assume different responsibilities based on mission requirements.
The PC version is sold via Steam for 3,150 JPY (tax included), while the Meta Quest version is priced at 3,900 JPY (tax included). The publisher stated that all subsequent missions will be provided via free updates, with the first additional mission expected to launch as a free DLC one month after release. Specific release schedules are subject to announcements on platform stores and from the developers.
