The animated film Dynamic Duo is reportedly set in the world of Matt Reeves' The Batman, rather than being part of the established DCU. Centered on Robins Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, it is scheduled for release on September 22, 2028.
The film is produced by New Orleans-based Swaybox, combining puppetry with computer animation. Warner Bros. already holds a stake in the studio, and early footage has been described as having a vibe similar to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Matt Reeves serves as producer, with Mason Thames confirmed to play Dick Grayson and Logan Kim as Jason Todd. The actor for Batman has not yet been announced. James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, previously expressed hope that the film could become part of the DCU, but its unique setting may make full integration difficult, leaving the project's affiliation unclear.
If this news is confirmed, Dynamic Duo will share the same universe as Robert Pattinson's Batman and The Penguin. Currently, this affiliation remains at the level of media reports, and it is unclear whether the two lead actors will continue to portray their roles in future live-action projects.
